Where is your favorite place? Carmel, CA. Scenic Dr. Saturday morning. Nuff said.
What would your ideal night be? Great food, someplace quiet, and fantastic cocktails that are somehow hangover proof.
If you were a movie, which one would you be? Thelma and Louise.
Worst on-air moment (embarrassing or otherwise)? I was working for our sister station, KKIQ, many years ago doing a Saturday shift. I had to use the restroom. I thought I had linked the songs together on the computer. I was literally in the restroom and the song playing ended. I was thinking "Come on Uncle Kracker. Fire up". Silence. Ooops. I forgot to link the songs. (Sorry Jim Hampton). I ran as fast as I could into the studio and instead of hitting the "play" button, I turned on the mic. I was totally out of breath. I don't even remember what I said, I just remember that I could hardly speak. It was, in a word, awful. Today, I find it hilarious.
If you had access to a magic genie, what would you wish for? For all pets to have great, loving homes. There would be a world without animal abuse/neglect.
Any advice for someone who wants to get started in radio? Go to college. Do their radio program. Get an internship at a station and work for free as an intern! Yes, free! Pay attention and take it ALL in. You will meet people who can help you get to the next level. Don't be annoying. Don't be a know it all. Just be nice, helpful, courteous and LEARN. It will work. I promise.
Finally, is the glass half empty or half full? Half full. I love a challenge :)
