Diablo Restoration Team Workday—Marsh Creek 4 & 6
Enjoy the beauty of Mount Diablo’s foothills as we help native bunchgrasses, shrubs, and woody plantings establish in the Marsh Creek riparian corridor and on a volcanic dome. Bring a lunch and picnic after a satisfying morning of supporting Save Mount Diablo in its mission to preserve, protect, and restore some of Contra Costa County’s most precious natural resources. Dress in layers, be sure to wear sturdy shoes, and bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
Our volunteer workdays happen rain or shine; please note that there are no restrooms on site.
Leader: Roxana Lucero, Land Stewardship Associate, Save Mount Diablo
Meet: 3240 Aspara Drive, Clayton, CA 94517.
Directions: From Walnut Creek: Head east on Ygnacio Valley Road from Walnut Creek, turn right on Clayton Road, which becomes Marsh Creek Road. Aspara Drive is off the right side of Marsh Creek Road, 1.5 miles past the intersection of Morgan Territory Road.
As we continue to strive to bridge the gap between youth and nature, we encourage families and youth groups to participate in our stewardship workdays. We have outlined our policy on volunteers under the age of 18 in order to create the best environment for everyone involved. Please note, our stewardship workdays are not drop-off programs.
Young volunteers under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. In addition, they should meet one of the following requirements before participating on our stewardship workdays:
If you have any questions about our policy, you can reach our Diablo Restoration Team leader, Roxana Lucero, at email@example.com.
