Valley Art Gallery Exhibition Entries for “Around and About Diablo”
The focus of this exhibition is the artist’s view and interpretation of the beauty of Mount Diablo and the vibrancy of the communities surrounding it. Subjects can range from impressions of the iconic mountain and its foothills to street scenes and public spaces in neighboring towns. The long shadow of Devil Mountain offers a wealth of choices for artistic inspiration.
Two-dimensional mediums only: painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, collage, mixed media. Original, recent work only.
The juror will be Timothy Horn, an award-winning, nationally acclaimed painter of the California landscape. Timothy will also choose three juror’s cash awards and three honorable mentions.
Deadline For Submission: Tuesday, April 9, 2019
Eligibility: Artists residing in the San Francisco Bay Area
Maximum size is 48 inches x 48 inches. Minimum is 6 inches x 6 inches.
Entry fee For gallery members: $35 for first work, $5 for each additional work up to three works total.
For non-members: $45 for first work, $10 for each additional work up to three works total.
Entry fees are non-refundable.
Exhibition Dates: May 18 – June 29, 2019
Delivery Of Selected Works: Sunday/Monday May 12 & 13, 2019, 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
