We lost a Queen…

The Queen of Soul is gone, but her music lives on.

I never had the privilege to see her perform live, but I remember watching her perform “Think” in the movie “The Blues Brothers” (1980). My exposure to the movie came maybe when I was a teenager. That scene in the diner where she sings “Think” is amazing! I love it!

If you’re like me, you spent some time today searching for videos of Aretha Franklin online. If you haven’t seen it, do a web search for “Aretha Franklin at the Kennedy Center Honors 2015″…I’m in awe!

She may be gone, but she will live on through her music, that we are so lucky to enjoy for the rest of our lives.

R.I.P. Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin…and much love to your family and friends.
